Rina Kamochi is a community organizer who has operated rural community development programs for the women and girls of Morocco in collaboration with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA). After her initial two year mission, Ms. Kamochi decided to continue her service to Moroccan women, providing regionally inspired homeopathic remedies, homemade organic cosmetics and creating products for trade using traditional embroidery to support the financial independence of these talented women. Since 2013, Rina has directed DAR AMAL (which means "House of Hope"). Through this organization, Ms. Kamochi seeks to connect the world to a land that travelers call "the jewel of North Africa" as well as to the one-of-a-kind treasures created by the girls and women of rural Morocco.
