Middle school students from Kawatana came to NIU as part of their English camp experience.
Every two volounteers were assigned a group and we went on a scavenger hunt. After taking kids around the campus (which we kind of got confused about) they had small presentations about interesting things in Kawatana and they were absolutely adorable. They only learn english for 2 years now – which in my opinion is a bit late for a kid to start learning a foreign language.
Overall we had a good time and I think kids also had fun on their english camp
